READ BEFORE SIGNUP
For Parents:
Our desire is to be able to accept every student, however, with this being a small non profit ministry the staff and volunteers that we will have may not be trained or able to handle some special need situations that your child may have or require, please reach out to us so we can prepare.
For example:
FOOD ALLERGIES: We will be cooking and baking with a wide variety of ingredients and can not cut any out of the main meals we will serve as its a teaching class. So if your child has an allergy, it would be required that the teen personally checks with the kitchen before consuming any foods or drinks. We can plan to have some back up meals set aside for these occasions, but again the teen would need to be responsible to make us aware and to alert their mentor if they are having a reaction.
MENTAL ILLNESS: This is meaning if your child has had any violent episodes against teachers, fellow students, adults or self, we would need to be made aware and it will be left to our discretion for the safety of our staff and other teens.
Special disability: this is by case to case basis.
For Teens:
We are so excited to bring this opportunity to you. This whole organization has been put together to see you have fun, teach you life skills surrounded by your friends, showcase your amazing talents, provide you with a place to discover the love of serving, and build you a tribe of adults that are truly eager to listen, invest, pray for you, and stand behind you in this phase of life and your years to come. You will soWe know you young adults are capable of everything only needing the tools, space, time. We are also passionate that you know Jesus loves you and who He is.
We will only be able to accept 120 teens per session. There will be only be 5 sessions per year. With that we ask you to sign up for one of the sessions that best works around your sports and activities, as you will have a very important role in your team, so it is important that you are able to come each night.
We also know there are nights you may have some extra homework or a project due. You will be able to let your mentor know and they will make sure you have to time and space to get it done if needed.
To Keep their spot:
We plan to run this club with structure and respect instead of rules.
Respect meaning to teach each teen the responsibilty of knowing where they are at and how to behave in each enviroment. At this ministy they should respect a place where God will be worshipped and adults are at as a place of:
-
no cursing
-
be appreciative of the property and the equipment and tools supplied to you
-
dress modestly, school guidlines are fine
-
Most of our staff will be volunteers, so please treat them kindly.
-
For those that absolutley love their time here and would love to really be in all the ins and outs, we will offer a teen mentor program that they could then become a mentors' assistance, and perhaps a staff position.
